Funnies

I love convos with my kids; they say some great and funny things.  Yesterday, both Kae and Drew had some great ones that I just had to share.

So last night, we were discussing germs (a common subject since Drew's infection) and why I couldn't use the knife now that Kaelynn had put it in her mouth. I mentioned that germs were everywhere and on everything we touch. Drew responds with "If you are not wearing clothes and jumping up, then you are not touching germs."

Earlier in the day, I was on the computer and Kae walks up to me.
Kae: If we see a giraffe outside do we need to come inside?
Me: You're not going to see a giraffe outside.
Kae: But if I do, do I need to come inside?
Me: Yes, come get mommy so she can see it too.

Background on the Kae story: the rule at our house is if you see a wild hog you need to come into the house. I guess she was wondering if the rule applied to giraffes too.

Blog Title

So I was trying to come up with a name for my blog.  I hate naming things. I always try to be creative and come up with nothing.  It took me forever to name my fantasy football team and I just ended up using what my sister suggested.  So when it asked for a blog title, I drew a blank.  I thought about using part of a Bible verse (like my friend Jamie did) but couldn't think of one that worked just right. Then I thought I could use something to do with the circus, since my sister always says I live in a circus. But that just didn't seem right either.  Then I thought I could play off of the name of the town I live in "Point." So I started searching for quotes that have point in them and found some I really liked but still nothing just right.  But then I saw this quote:

Small things over time make big differences."

While it has nothing to do with "Point," it seemed to be the perfect fit.  I'm sure most of what I blog about will be small things, the ordinary occurences of a stay at home mom.  Most of our lives are made up of small things and sometimes they can seem so unimportant but they can and do make a difference.  I know that God often uses the small things in my life to teach and grow me.
So now my blog has a name.  Hard part is over with!
